Ways To Reduce Jaw Crusher Dust Pollution

Water Spray Device

The main dust producing points in jaw crusher are the feed opening, discharge opening and the crushing cavity. So we can install water spray device at these places to reduce the dust pollution. At each place, we can set two water spray nozzles. The two water spray nozzles at the feed opening should point to the feed opening and the two water spray nozzles at the discharge opening should form a certain angle, making the sprayed water cross in order to get best effect. And the water spray nozzles at the crushing cavity should be set behind the movable jaw, form an angle with the horizontal plane.

Dust Collecting Device

Install dust collecting device at the discharge opening and the back side of movable jaw in crushing cavity in order to avoid the spread of dust.

Optimize Local Structure Of Jaw Crusher

Avoid the producing of dust is the basic factor to solve this problem. In this case, we can improve the working condition of jaw crusher and optimize the local structure of jaw crusher. Here are the specific solutions:

  • Before feeding the raw materials into jaw crusher, we should pre-screen them in order to separate the fine particles and dust out. This can avoid the dust entering the crushing system. In this case, we should clean the mesh in vibrating screen regularly to avoid blocking and to ensure the screening effect.
  • Optimize the tooth board. Without changing the whole size of tooth board, we can add some teeth on the board. In this case, the tooth shape will relatively decrease, making the contact area between raw material and tooth board decrease, improving the crushing efficiency.
  • Change the worn tooth boards timely. When the tooth board wears, the contact area between raw material and tooth board will increase, which not only increase the power consumption, but also will produce large amount of dust.
