Phosphate Beneficiation Process

Phosphate beneficiation production begins with the mining of calcium phosphate. Phosphate rock, sand and clay is mined and depostited in a shallow containment area known as a well. While in the well, the matrix is sprayed by high pressure water guns that liquefy the material into a mixture called a slurry. The material is then transported through pipelines to a beneficiation plant, where the clay and sand are separated from the phosphate rock. Also separated in the process is a mixture of sand and finer particles of phosphate that is then put through a process called flotation.

Gridning Mill: grinding is the process of further reducing the material into fine powders and preparaing for processing applications. Grinding mill applied in phosphate mining operation includes ball mill, vertical roller mill, raymond mill, ultrafine mill, trapezium mill etc.

Auxiliary Equipment: vibrating screen and belt conveyor are the integral auxility equipment in mining operation. Vibrating screen separates the different particle size. Belt conveyor delivers material to next stage and ensures the whole smooth process.

Froth Flotation Machine

Froth flotation is considered to be the most widely used method for ore beneficiation. In ore beneficiation, flotation is a process in which valuable minerals are separated from worthless material or other valuable minerals by inducing them to gather in and on the surface of a froth layer.

The process of froth flotation entails crushing and grinding the ore to a fine size. This fine grinding separates the individual mineral particles from the waste rock and other mineral particles. Froth flotation is generally limited to size fractions between roughly 65 and 400 mesh.
